Clothes and body-related artefacts can be active, responsive, protective, or supportive in human actions and activities. In this way, clothes can play a central role in various types of body-based activities, human performances, and interactions with the environment. Specialising in Performance Wear at the Swedish School of Textiles involves exploring and developing apparel that can perform – act and interact – in relation to various human activities and performances in outdoor, sports, work, or artistic contexts, considering a wide range of perspectives, including environmental, ethical, technical, and cultural factors.

Light is essential for human well-being and fundamental to interior spaces, buildings and urban areas. Students learn how lighting quality, both natural and artificial light, affects human behaviour, comfort and health. Factors of sustainable development; environmental, social and economic aspects are at focus. Graduates have unique competence in light planning and work in lighting design, architectural studios or as consultants.

The Master’s Programme in Music aims to educate musicians possessing a high level of artistic and professional ability. We offer specialisations in Composition, Composition – Scoring for Film and Media, Guitar, Harpsichord, Jazz Improvisation, Music Drama – Répétiteur, Piano, Recorder, Symphony Orchestra Instruments, and Vocal Studies or Vocal and Drama Studies. On completion of the programme, the student must have well-developed knowledge and skills in order to work in a professional capacity in various forms – either as a soloist, a member of an established ensemble or in freely formed groups.

The Master’s in Church Music programme aims to educate musicians that possess high artistic, educational and professional abilities. We offer specialisations in Arrangement and Composition, Organ and Keyboard, and Vocal Music and Choir. On completion of the programme, the student must possess advanced knowledge and skills in order to work within the various functions and engagements of a professional musician – either as a soloist, a member of an established ensemble or as a church musician within the Church of Sweden or within other denominations.
